A Twelve-Year Night

Set against the backdrop of Uruguay’s military dictatorship, *A Twelve-Year Night* is a harrowing exploration of resilience and the endurance of the human spirit under systemic oppression. In September 1972, three members of the Tupamaro revolutionary movement—José "Pepe" Mujica, Eleuterio "Ñato" Fernández Huidobro, and Mauricio "Ruso" Rosencof—are ripped from prison and designated as hostages by the military government.
