DESCRIPTION

In the gritty, volatile landscape of 1984 North Paris, a dangerous scarcity of high-quality narcotics has pushed the underworld to the brink of collapse. As drugstores face relentless raids, a brutal turf war erupts between rival factions, including the "Viets," the "Blackies," the "Arabs," neo-Nazi groups, and other ruthless street gangs. The city is a powder keg of tension, and the streets are becoming increasingly lawless. Enter Vincent, a seasoned cop recently transferred from Marseilles. With a background as a former gangster, Vincent brings a unique perspective to the force; he favors soft methods but possesses a lethal edge and a sharp tongue when the situation demands it. To navigate this treacherous web of crime, he recruits "l'Arbalète," a drug-addicted prostitute and former member of his old gang, to serve as his eyes and ears on the ground. However, Vincent’s mission to restore order is complicated by a volatile, racist colleague—an Algeria veteran whose aggressive tactics and questionable loyalties cast a long shadow over the investigation. As Vincent attempts to bring peace to the chaos, he must contend with shifting alliances and a partner whose true intentions remain dangerously unclear. *The Syringe* is a high-stakes action thriller that explores the thin line between justice and the very corruption it seeks to dismantle.
