To secure her release, Reda is coerced into a high-stakes tournament, becoming a pawn in a dangerous game. Donevia views Reda as a unique asset: unlike thousands of other test subjects, his body uniquely tolerates a lethal new performance-enhancing substance called HSX. As Reda navigates a treacherous landscape, he must balance his desperate need to protect his nieces, Anouk and Myosotis, against the manipulations of his coach and the cold, profit-driven agenda of corporate executives.
