DESCRIPTION

In the isolated woods, two cabins become the stage for a psychological game of cat and mouse. Fred, an aspiring screenwriter struggling with a recent, volatile breakup, finds himself staying next door to Fanny, a successful and notoriously confident horror novelist. When a violent storm knocks out the power, the two writers decide to pass the time by trading increasingly dark and imaginative scary stories—tales of werewolves, murderous trolls, and possessed singers. What begins as a creative exercise quickly descends into a battle of wits and egos. As Fanny dismissively critiques Fred’s work and begins mining his personal insecurities for her own writing, the power dynamic shifts from playful to predatory. Fred’s growing resentment over his own perceived failures fuels a dangerous obsession with proving his talent. As the night deepens, the line between their fictional narratives and their actual reality begins to blur, turning their storytelling session into a volatile confrontation. *Scare Me* is a tense exploration of creative envy and the fragile ego of the artist. As the boundaries of their game dissolve, Fred and Fanny find themselves trapped in a toxic cycle of competition where the desire to craft the perfect, chilling narrative threatens to eclipse everything else. How far will two writers go to prove who is the master of horror?
