Profugos
In the high-stakes Chilean drama *Prófugos*, a routine smuggling operation spirals into a desperate fight for survival. The story follows four men—Vicente Ferragut, Tegui González, Oscar Salamanca, and Mario Moreno—who are recruited to transport a massive drug shipment by land, traveling from the Bolivian border to the port of Valparaíso. What begins as a strictly professional arrangement quickly devolves into a nightmare of paranoia and deep-seated resentment. As the group navigates the rugged terrain from the north to the south of Chile, their journey is plagued by internal friction and a profound lack of trust. When a violent, unexpected ambush erupts during the delivery to European buyers, the men are thrust into a perilous life on the run. Caught in an intricate web of ambition, corruption, and hidden agendas, the fugitives soon realize that nobody is who they seem. Each man carries the weight of a dark past, and as they are hunted by unseen forces, they must confront the reality that their survival depends on relying on the very people they despise. With the authorities closing in and betrayal lurking at every turn, the group must navigate a landscape of human misery and shifting loyalties. Nominated for an International Emmy Award, this gripping series explores the razor-thin line between criminal instinct and the desperate imperative to flee.
