DESCRIPTION

Twelve-year-old Sara Newton and her lovable, oversized St. Bernard, Beethoven, are looking forward to a quiet summer stay with her uncle, Freddy Kablinski, in the remote, eccentric town of Quicksilver. Freddy, a laid-back local mechanic, introduces Sara to a community that is far more unconventional than she ever imagined. The peaceful vacation takes an unexpected turn when Beethoven unearths a rare 1920 ten-dollar bill in the woods. This singular discovery ignites a town-wide frenzy, reviving the long-standing legend of Moe and Rita Selig—infamous bank robbers who supposedly vanished decades ago, leaving behind a hidden fortune. As the residents of Quicksilver become consumed by the prospect of buried treasure, the woods become a hotbed of mystery. Rumors of spectral hauntings begin to circulate, casting a shadow over the hunt and suggesting that someone is willing to go to great lengths to keep others away from the prize. Joined by her new friend Garrett and the unconventional Freddy, Sara must navigate a web of local secrets and hidden agendas. With Beethoven’s keen nose leading the way, the trio embarks on a high-stakes adventure to uncover the truth behind the legend. In a town where history is buried deep, Sara discovers that even the most mundane places can hold extraordinary secrets, provided you have the right companions to help you find them.
