What we collect

If you create an account: your email address, a cryptographic hash of your password (never the password itself), the site language you chose, whether your email has been confirmed, and counters of failed sign-in attempts used to slow down password guessing.

If you sign in with Google: the account identifier Google gives us and the email address of that account. We never receive your Google password.

What you do with your taste: the ratings, likes, dislikes and bookmarks you leave on titles, ratings you import from other services, and any profile you build. This is private to your account — we do not publish it and there is no public profile page.

Technical records: our servers log the IP address, time, requested address and browser identification of each request. We also count visitors using Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not identify you individually.

Why we process it, and on what basis

To give you the account and the features you asked for, and to send the service emails that go with it — confirming your address, resetting your password — we process your data to perform our agreement with you. To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and understand how many people use it, we rely on our legitimate interests. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing email.

The AI models we use to analyse films and series are given catalogue material only. Your account data and your ratings are never sent to them.

Cookies and similar storage

We store only what the site cannot work without: your sign-in session, a flag telling the page that you are signed in, and a short-lived marker during external sign-in. There are no advertising, profiling or tracking cookies, and our visitor counter uses none. Because nothing is stored beyond what is strictly necessary, there is no consent banner to click.

Who else touches your data

Hetzner hosts our servers in Germany. Cloudflare delivers the site, stores images and counts visitors. Resend sends our transactional email. Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with Google. These providers act on our instructions and operate under standard safeguards for data protection.

Two kinds of page load content directly from other companies: a trailer preview comes from Google's image servers and album artwork from Apple's. Those companies see your IP address when that happens, as they would if you opened their site. We plan to serve both from our own storage; until then you know it happens.

How long we keep it

Account data stays until you delete your account, and deletion removes it in full, including your ratings — it is not reversible. One-time links for confirming an address or resetting a password expire within hours or a couple of days. Server logs are kept for about two weeks.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, take it elsewhere in a machine-readable form, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Write to [email protected] and we will do it. If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority in your country.

Children

The service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, use it only with a parent's permission.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date. The English text is the authoritative one; any translation is provided for convenience.
