DESCRIPTION

When the world-famous Pink Panther diamond is stolen from the nation of Lugash, the government demands the expertise of France’s most singular investigator: Inspector Jacques Clouseau. For his long-suffering superior, Chief Inspector Dreyfus, this request is a nightmare, as he harbors a debilitating obsession with the bumbling detective. However, the mission takes a sudden, harrowing turn when Clouseau’s plane vanishes over the sea, leaving the Inspector presumed dead. In the wake of his disappearance, ambitious television reporter Marie Jouvet embarks on a quest to document Clouseau’s legacy. Through interviews with his ex-wife, former assistant Hercule Lajoy, and the notorious thief Sir Charles Litton, Jouvet uncovers a fractured portrait of a man. To his colleagues, Clouseau is an infuriating, destructive buffoon; to the public, he is a courageous, indestructible legend. As Jouvet digs into the mystery, she finds herself in the crosshairs of a dangerous crime boss, Bruno Langlois, who is determined to silence her investigation. Meanwhile, at Clouseau’s residence, his loyal manservant Cato continues their tradition of surprise combat training, awaiting his master’s return. Amidst the chaos, property damage, and personal injury that follow in Clouseau’s wake, a deeper mystery emerges. Is the Inspector truly gone, or is he operating in the shadows? This is a story of relentless, unorthodox persistence—and the inexplicable luck of a man who refuses to quit.
